Success Full: Tribute to Manuel Sobrinho Simões

The second edition of “Success Full Saúde” – an initiative carried out with the Municipal Council of Santo Tirso – paid homage this year to IPATIMUP, in the person of its President, Professor Doctor Manuel Sobrinho Simões, with a full house.
With a presentation by SIC journalist Marta Sobral, we had the very honorable interventions of the Mayor of Santo Tirso, Dr. Joaquim Couto, the Vice-President of IPATIMUP, Professor Raquel Seruca, the President of the Order of Doctors, Dr. Miguel Guimarães, the President of the Porto IPO, Dr. Laranja Pontes, the President of Porto City Council, Dr. Rui Moreira and the President of the Portuguese League against Cancer, Dr. Vítor Veloso.
We also had the very prestigious intervention of the Director General of IARC – International Agency for Research on Cancer – Elisabete Weiderpass.
As IPATIMUP is a global reference in the Disclosure and Prevention of Cancer, as well as in its Diagnosis and Research, the Mayor of Santo Tirso, Dr. Joaquim Couto, was given to it during the initiative, the “Success Full – Port Wine”, trophy that aims to honor entities and personalities that have stood out in the humanist and social sphere. This trophy is the result of a partnership between Idioteque and the Douro and Porto Wine Institute, which greatly honors us, as we were honored to have its President, Dr. Manuel Cabral, present at the event.
It is a piece created by the renowned artist Emília Nadal.
