Manuel Alberto Teixeira da Silva Mirra was born in Santo Tirso, in July 1974. He graduated in Law at Universidade Portucalense – Infante D. Henrique, and has been practicing law since 1999. In the meantime, he has been professor of Economics, Introduction to Law and Interdisciplinary Area at Colégio Externato Ellen Key, in Porto. He was also President of the Installing Committee of the Advocacy and Sports Institute, an autonomous institute of the Porto District Council of the Bar Association, President of the Board of Associação Recreativa do Areal, founder of POLISDESPORTIVA – Portuguese Magazine of Social Sciences of Sport, Vice-President of the of the Parish of Santo Tirso and candidate for Member of the Assembly of the Republic. In 2012 he published “O teu sorriso vive no meu olhar. É eterno por ti o meu Amar”. With Idioteque, he published Onde se Esconde o Amor (2015), a book that has a preface by the deputy of the Assembly of the Republic Andreia Neto and an introductory note by Francisco Moita Flores, which Idioteque highlights on the cover of the work: “Manuel Alberto Mirra’s poems question us, leave us hesitant in search of the time we don’t live because we didn’t love. They are restless and unsettling pages, and when this is the case, poetry has fulfilled its function of questing the soul”.
