João Abreu, Master in Marketing and Postgraduate in Human Resources, is also a Law graduate and founder of Academia das Emoções. He was Coordinator of a degree in Marketing, along with teaching duties as Professor of university and polytechnic education, since 1993, in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Communication. Current Lecturer at the Superior School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (ESTG – IPP), in the degree of Information Systems for Management, at the Higher Institute of Business and Tourism Sciences (ISCET), in the degrees of Marketing and Advertising and Tourism, collaborates with the Instituto Superior de Entre Douro e Vouga (ISVOUGA), in the Postgraduate course in Digital Marketing and Electronic Commerce. Business consultant. He is the author of the books Marketing Services for Lawyers (1997) and Caril dos Anjos (2007). He coordinated the works Entrepreneurship, Cases of Business Success – Internationalization (2016) and Success Full, Cases of Success in Portuguese Municipalities (2017).
With Idioteque, he coordinated Empresariato, Casos de Sucesso Empresarial – Internacionalização (2016), a book that intends to be a fundamental tool for managers, academics and entrepreneurs, as well as for students in the areas of Management, Economics, Marketing and others; Casos de Sucesso Empresarial – Internacionalização (2017), a book that brings together two dozen academics and researchers from universities, polytechnics and business schools, in the elaboration of a set of case studies, based on 13 successful experiences in the management of Portuguese municipalities; Empresariato: Casos de Sucesso Empresarial – Branding (2018), a work that aims to be an essential tool for managers, academics and entrepreneurs, as well as for students in the areas of Management, Economics, Marketing, Business Communication and others, and Inteligência Territorial – Governança, Sustentabilidade e Transparência (2019), a work that intends to carry out an in-depth study on Territorial Intelligence, affirming the models of governance, sustainability and transparency as three of its pillars.
