António Jorge Ribeiro, economist, born in Santo Tirso, where he was born in 1952, is passionate about the history of his land. His first writing experiences began with the publication of texts in the newspaper of Colégio da Trofa, in the newspaper «Mãos Dadas» and in the magazine «Prelúdio», of the students of Liceu Alexandre Herculano, of which he was director during the period in which he attended this school. high school in Porto. He was the fourth director of the «Jornal de Santo Thyrso», founded on May 11, 1882. It is the oldest newspaper in the Porto district with uninterrupted publication, until its recent disappearance. Author of the works «Camilo Castelo Branco in Santo Tirso» and «Volunteer Firefighters of Santo Tirso, 1878-2013, 135 Years of History». With Idioteque, he wrote the book Jesuítas da Moura – Dois séculos de uma doce história (2022), in partnership with Anabela Ramos, a book that celebrates the 200 years of life of the Jesuits of Moura.
