Andreia Leite

Andreia Leite was born in Santo Tirso in 1984. Married and mother of two boys – Vicente, 8 years old and Dinis, 5 – she holds the professional course as Free Time Animator, working as an operational assistant in a group of schools. Writing has always been part of her life, often as therapy, with this book originating at a time when she was dealing with her mother’s illness, helping her transform the pain she was feeling into gratitude. It is a tribute to all mothers, and especially hers who, unfortunately, did not manage to live long enough to see the book completed, this work being the fulfillment of a promise: no matter how difficult the path was, she would not give up trying to publish it. -there. With Idioteque, she edited the book Para que servem as mães? (2023), a very sensitive and simple book in its writing and illustration, which tells us how two children discuss among themselves the importance and eternal value of a mother.
