Doctor André Amorim has been an enthusiast and apologist for a more natural approach to health and life since a very young age. After completing his training in Medicine, he decided to expand his knowledge to complementary therapies, including Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Orthomolecular Nutrition, Iridology, Phytotherapy, Ozone Therapy, Darkfield Microscopy, Foot Reflexology, Microphysiotherapy, among others. In addition to his clinical activity, Dr. André is also a Yoga practitioner and teacher, seeking, whenever possible, to incorporate the more subtle and spiritual dimension of this practice and philosophy into his daily life. He is clinical director of Naturena, a health and wellness space in Barcelos, where he gives consultations, lectures, workshops and organizes other programs in the field of Natural Health. In his consultations, he approaches the individual holistically, assessing him as a whole and trying to focus the treatment on the true root of the problem and not just on controlling the symptoms. With Idioteque, he published the book The transformative power of Jejum (2020) which resulted from extensive research work and his personal and clinical experience with fasting. This work stands out for its scope and approach to health – promoting Therapeutic Fasting as a Natural, Millennial, Scientific method of healing that is easily accessible to everyone.
